Carl Plansky

Carl Plansky (1951- ) is known for his paintings and drawings. His paintings are created on a monumental scale with enormous amounts of paint, applied with brushes, rags, brooms, and his hands. His works have been exhibited the Lyons-Weir Gallery, Chicago (1994); 55 Mercer Gallery, New York City (1994, 1993, 1992); Carspecken-Scott Gallery, Wilmington, DE (1996, 1993, 1990, 1989, 1988), the Islip Arts Museum, Islip, NY (1993), and the Northern Alleghenies Museum, Pennsylvania (1989). His artwork is in several permanent collections including the Arkansas Art Center, the Asheville Art Museum, the Bank of America, and the Butler Museum.
