Thomas Considine began as an illustrator but quickly moved to three-dimensional work. His interest in glass blowing evolved to include other mediums with glass such as bronze, aluminum and wood. Considine's non-traditional approach, combined with a technique he developed known as hot carving, in his own words, "allows me to create a marriage of textures between the glass and other mediums. The artist is influenced most by existing colors, patterns and forms of nature. After graduating, Considine exhibited his glass and bronze work at numerous galleries in the United States and Canada.
