It’s officially the holiday season, and it even snowed in Asheville already! We all know this is the season of giving, so why not spread the holiday spirit at your local Museum? There are quite a few ways that you can support the Museum, and in the process, check gifts off your holiday shopping list. You may even find a few gifts for yourself along the way!
Ways you can give:
- You might’ve heard about our COVID-19 Matching Challenge—all Annual Fund donations and new or upgraded memberships continue to be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $75,000 through December 31. Your contribution, in addition to the generous grant from a longtime foundation supporter, allows us to establish the Asheville Art Museum COVID-19 Relief Fund which will provide additional operational support during this difficult year, and ensure that we can continue to serve you with exciting programming and inspiring exhibitions. You’ll find more information on our COVID-19 Matching Challenge here.
- Purchasing a membership for family or a loved one is a gift that keeps on giving! A base-level membership includes 12 months of free admission to the Museum with access to the rooftop sculpture terrace and café. Picture your friends or family attending one of our virtual Member programs or getting the first look at an opening exhibition. Members also receive our weekly newsletter and the Museum’s Member publication, Profile. Certain upper levels receive bonus guest passes and Individual or Family/Dual memberships to give as gifts. Click here to explore the levels of membership to find the right one for you or the special person in your life. All new and upgraded memberships will count towards our COVID-19 Matching Challenge.
- Another great way to support your Museum is by shopping in the Museum Store in-person or online. We just released new holiday card sets based on works from our Collection, just in time to help you spread holiday cheer this season! Each pack of 12 5 × 7-inch cards is available in-store and online, and they’re blank inside so that you can write your own message. The limited-edition set of Spiro cards contains four unique designs of Spiro winter adventures by Lorna Blaine Halper, while the Joseph Fiore set contains three vibrant paintings. Works from both Black Mountain College artists are held in the Museum’s Collection. These are the perfect cards to send some holiday wishes via snail mail. In addition, Spiro wrapping paper is now available! Click here to explore the Museum Store.
