Lawrence Fielding Edwards

Lawrence Edwards (1931- ) was born in Jackson, Mississippi. He has taught in five different states at schools and universities.He has lived and taught art at schools and universities in five states.  His art has been exhibited at the Sherry French Gallery, New York City, New York City the Alternative Museum, New York City, Allan Frumkin Gallery, New York City, and Allan Stone Gallery, New York City. His work is in the collection of Bank of America, Charlotte, NC, Arkansas Arts Center Little Rock, AR, Roane State Community College, Harriman, TN, Schering-Plough Corporation, Madison, NJ, Memphis Brroks Museum of Art, TN, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans, the Mississippi Museum of Art, Jackson and the Asheville Art Museum. He has been influenced by Philip Guston, Hieronymus Bosch and Edvard Munch.
