Event Category: Fun Friday for Families
JUNE 4, 11, 18 & 25, 1:30–3:30pm
Visit our galleries on a scavenger hunt for inspiration before joining us in the Wells Fargo Art PLAYce to create! Each Friday afternoon in June, we’re making abstract monoprints inspired by Beauford Delaney’s Metamorphosis into Freedom.
Please note:
Drop in to experiment freely and collaborate using different materials, tools, and techniques! Visit a chosen artwork in the galleries for inspiration, then head to one of our studios to create. All ages and abilities are welcome (children must be accompanied by an adult); no reservations are required. For more information, email Kelly Baisley, school & family programs manager, or call 828.253.3227 x133.
We hope you and your loved ones are safe after Hurricane Helene. All Asheville Art Museum staff are safe. However, we are unable to open until water is restored.
If you’d like to support us, donations are crucial to helping our staff and teaching artists continue our mission of bringing art and creativity to the community. Thank you for your generosity and support. Please stay tuned for further updates.
